Khrystyna
Photoartist, London, UK
Khrystyna lives and works in Hackney, East London. From fashion photography, e-commerce to art-based projects Khrystyna’s sense of colour and unique perspective give vibrancy and emotion to her work.
Born in 1990 in Odesa, Ukraine Khrystyna spent her childhood living on the coast of the Black Sea. Inspired by old cinematography, she began taking photographs on a film camera when she was 12 years old.
She left Kyiv Ukraine, her homeland, in February 2022 during the Ukraine war.
She is concerned about a wide range of modern society’s problems: social, environment, health, changes in traditions, laws, and regulations. She completed a number of photography projects on the processes of destruction and decay of material and intangible values, the collision of outdated experience with the reality of new times. Khrystyna is currently researching themes, traditions and psychological changes in sensations under the influence of circumstances.
